Comfort and utilities monitoring for hotels
Room CO₂ and climate, night-time quiet enforced without invading guest privacy, per-device energy metering and a HACCP-covered kitchen — all in one panel.

Sound familiar?
Complaints about stuffy rooms
Guests feel overheated, stuffy rooms and meeting spaces — but staff only learn about it from portal reviews, once the scores have already dropped.
Quiet hours broken without reception knowing
A loud room at 1 a.m. ruins the night for the whole floor. The intervention starts only after an upset guest calls the front desk.
Energy leaking in empty zones
Heaters, boilers and back-of-house equipment run at full tilt regardless of occupancy. Without per-device metering nobody knows what actually drives the bill.
The kitchen still runs on a notebook
The hotel restaurant and room service fall under HACCP like any food business — yet fridge temperatures are still written down by an overloaded shift.
How Nextriv solves it
Comfort measured, not guessed
Sense CO₂ (NDIR measurement) watches CO₂, temperature and humidity in rooms and halls — with a threshold like 1000 ppm, before guests feel the stuffiness.
A night-time quiet guardian
Sense Noise measures only the sound level in dB(A) — no recording. A threshold breach at night is a discreet signal for reception, not a neighbour's complaint in the morning.
Energy per room and device
Control Plug meters the kWh of individual appliances and switches them remotely; virtual sensors sum readings into a single indicator per room or floor.
Air quality on a screen for guests
A public tile is a read-only public view of selected metrics — a QR code in the lobby or spa shows guests the current air quality without logging in.
Kitchen and cold rooms under HACCP
The same alert rules cover the back of house: temperature loggers in fridges and cold rooms, measurement history and PDF reports for sanitary inspections.
Alerts to the right shift
Notification rules filter events by location, metric and severity — night reception, maintenance and F&B each get only what they are responsible for.

The noise sensor measures only decibels — no recordings. A rule with four thresholds and an escalation carries the signal from reception to security before the first neighbour calls.
- If
Sense Noise in room 204 reports an equivalent sound level of 68 dB(A) — above the 65 dB(A) warning threshold.
- Then
The platform opens an event with an ALM code and night reception gets a web push and an in-app siren.
- Escalation 1
After 10 minutes without acknowledgement, the escalation sends an SMS to the night manager.
- Escalation 2
When the noise crosses the 75 dB(A) critical threshold, the event escalates to critical severity and the “security” group gets an SMS and an MS Teams notification — until acknowledged and resolved.
Compliance and standards
HACCP
The restaurant, room service and banquets fall under HACCP — continuous back-of-house temperature records and PDF reports support control point documentation.
GDPR and guest privacy
Sense Noise measures only the sound level (dB) and records no conversations; public views show only selected metrics in read-only mode, with no personal data.
EN 16798-1
Measuring CO₂, temperature and humidity helps keep indoor environmental parameters within the comfort categories described in EN 16798-1.
Frequently asked questions
Does the noise sensor record guest conversations?
No. Sense Noise registers only sound levels — instantaneous, equivalent (Leq) and maximum (Lmax) in decibels. There is no microphone storing content and no recordings, so guest privacy is preserved while the hotel gets just a number and an alert when a threshold is crossed.
How can I show guests the air quality in the hotel?
You create a public tile — a public view of selected sensors and metrics available via a link or QR code, no login required. You can add a 24-hour chart, set link expiry and track the view counter. Guests see only what you share, read-only.
Does installation in rooms require renovation or cabling?
No. The sensors run on batteries (lasting years), mount with 3M tape or screws and are configured with a phone via NFC — no chasing walls. Control Plug simply goes between the socket and the appliance. One gateway covers the whole property thanks to long-range radio.
How do I measure the energy use of a single room or appliance?
Control Plug meters the voltage, power and cumulative kWh of each connected appliance and alarms on power loss. Virtual sensors sum readings from multiple sockets into one indicator — e.g. the total consumption of a room or floor — which lands on the dashboard and in reports.
Where do I start in a small property — a guesthouse or aparthotel?
The FREE plan includes 10 sensors, 1 gateway, 5 alert rules and PDF reports — enough to cover the kitchen, a few rooms and a common area. As the property grows, the PRO plan (PLN 99 net/30 days) removes the limits and adds escalations, public tiles, virtual sensors and signed reports.
